Lower Eyelid Blepharoplasty: The outpatient procedure is performed under local anesthesia to ensure your comfort. We also offer light IV sedation, if needed, to help you relax during treatment. Your lower eyelid blepharoplasty involves making an incision on the inner part of the eyelid or in the eyelid crease. If you have excessive skin in the lower lid, Dr. Garcia will make the incision right below the lashes. Next, she will sculpt and reposition the fat to restore the lower lid’s natural contours and close the incision with fine sutures. The procedure eliminates the excess fatty tissue causing under-eye bags, leaving you with a more energetic and less tired appearance.

Following your eyelid lift, you’ll need to cover your eyes intermittently with cool gauze and sleep in an elevated position for a few days. Your eyesight may seem blurry, which is perfectly normal and no cause for alarm. You may have minimal discomfort, which you can easily control with pain relief medication.
